Perceive
I just got done watching Crash, and I must say that it is a good movie. The only thing that makes it even close to being as good as Brokeback Mountain is the fact that they weave all of the story lines together, and it's a very emotionally charged picture. However, as entertaining as the weaving together of lives is, I think that makes the film unable to give enough time to every person. The movie needs to be longer, and there needs to be some closure at the end of it. It's one of those movies where you're all like "What happened next?" after it is over. You want to know what the next move was, and what happened to their characters, since they just went through something and it wasn't totally closed out.

Though I still have to say, Ryan Phillippe played the hottest cop that I have ever seen. We need more cops around here like that! But anyway, it was a good race for the Oscar, between Crash and Brokeback. I think that Crash did have a bit more substance, though it could have been filled out a bit better, though the emotions were hardcore. Brokeback had all of the closure and all, but I think that their relationship should have been fleshed out a bit more, they didn't ever really talk about things between them- though that is pretty much part of the point of the movie. Yeah, I see why that was a close one, and it's hard for me to say who the winner should have been.

I'm a bit partial to Brokeback, so it's hard for me to be objective towards Crash, making it impossible for me to make a definitive answer on that. And just incase you didn't think that Ryan Phillippe was hot enough, check out here, and here, and here. Oh oh oh, yeah. His lips are... wow, yeah. See, it's better to have celeb crushes, since they won't ever dissapoint me! And the things that I would do to David Duchovny! I mean, look at this, and those perfect green eyes. Come on now, I don't care how old the man is! Yep, fantasies won't ever dissapoint me. Gotdamn, do it to it! Oh, uh... ahem. We also can't forget Nicolas Lea (Krycek on XFiles), just how hot he is, also with perfect green eyes. And here they are together, mmmm. My weakness for green eyes is unreal, and it helps when guys that look like that are attached to them.

Alright alright, I know that it's mostly guys that read my site, I'm sure that little side trip to Menville made you fall asleep. I'm done with that now. Couldn't help myself, had to do it. I watched "Black. White." tonight, and have some thoughts about that, but will save it for next time. It was damn good though, I will tell you that much. Too bad that the people who need to watch it, like the racists, won't actually be watching it. Stubborn people won't ever ever understand, their tiny little ignorant brains can't handle it. Though I do think that Brian (the real black guy) does overreact to white peoples actions. It's like he looks for these racist signs too much, perhaps sees them sometimes when they aren't there.

But that's just because of the way that he has been treated in the past. I feel the same way, on a different level. People have always been mean to me and thought that I was all weird and different. So now when people look at me a certain way, or look at me and whisper something to their friends, I assume that they are saying something bad about me. And probably a lot of the time, they aren't. But since that's the way it has been my whole life, I just assume that people are saying bad shit about me all of the time, kinda like some black people just assume.

On the flipside, I think that Bruno (the real white guy) has it all wrong about color not meaning anything, and you only get back what you put out. I don't care how nice you are, some people are going to be different to you because you are black. Not all people, like Brain seems to think, but still quite a few. Well, thought that little bit, I just said everything that I was going to say next time, heh heh. But yeah, Rose is going to be the star of the show, the real white daughter. Nick (the real black son) isn't going about this the right way, though I think that he will snap out of it and start trying harder.

If they would have really wanted to start some shit, they should have had a white family change places with an Americanized arabic family. Then we would have really seen some shit, but that would have made Americans look bad, so we can't have that. Still baffled at the fact that there is still racism, though I think that some people bring it on themselves. The black people running around being ganbangers and drug dealers, with their pants to their ass and saying "Yo dawg, whatz up in the heezy?" give them a stereotype. Not all black people do that, my friend Kevin doesn't do that. White people that run around with their huge ass trucks, listening to country music, with their confederate flags and 20 ugly kids don't say much for white people either. Not all white people are like that, though it seems that there are quite a few of them in my part of Ohio.

The point is that everyone should be taking everyone else on a case by case basis. And it's 2006 for fucks sake. I know I covered this before, but perhaps there needs to be more focus on it. Segregation and all that shit ended a long ass time ago, so people need to get over it. And if people don't want to be looked at a certain way, they don't need to project that image. I don't project the image of a stupid redneck, even though I am around scads of them, because I am not one. Kevin doesn't project the image of being a thug, even though there are a lot of those where he grew up, because he isn't a thug. Treat people the way that they need to be treated because of who they are and how they act, not because of the color of their skin.

That is something that people can say a million times, but not everyone is going to get it. I'm sure that there will eventually be a civil war, though perhaps not in my lifetime. Now if OJ would have got convicted, I'm sure that would have caused major race riots, and that is probably the only reason that they set him free... because everyone knows that mofo did it. Anyway, if everyone would act right, and then the idiots would listen to reason, everyone would be cool. If thugs could quit being thugs, and rednecks could quit being rednecks, then we could get everyone to listen- maybe we could deal with some other important issues. You know, like fighting off the Taliban when they come to get us.

I haven't quite decided what I want to do in about ten hours from now, or whenever I wake up. I keep wanting to go to Columbus, but I never get to go. Something comes up usually, but it also is a very long trip, like a couple of hours. Eh, I don't know, there isn't anything else to do around here. Athens is going to suck tonight, since Thursday is like the new Friday or something. All of the fucking assholes will be out tonight, the people that I always think are fucking with me and saying bad things about me. The whole "I feel like I'm an alien" complex again, as mentioned above. I might as well be black, at least they'd be a little more scared of me then. Shiiit, they should be pretty damn scared of me now.

I need to find a bar or somewhere (in Columbus) where older guys hang out, like guys in their thirties. That's the whole problem I've been having, I keep dating guys that are around 25 or younger. You know, I actually don't think that I have hung out in Columbus at the bars since I stopped drinking... no, I haven't. Wow, that's going to be a different experience! I need to go to the penis club, and see the mens swinging their penii around. I haven't been there for a good while, always good to hit up the male strip club every couple of years. Heh heh, I might or might not do that! Hell, I probably won't even go. I don't ever wake up in time for anything, especially when it comes to getting up and driving two hours, but we'll see.
