Xmas was the same as usual, nothing going on and no major celebration. I'm not much on the holidays, I never celebrate them, so when one sneaks by like this- it's no big deal to me. I went over to see Todd today, that was about it. I didn't get as many text messages (on my cell) or calls as I thought I would today, which dissapointed me. I do thank those that did, much love to you.
I've spent most of the last couple of days working on my computer. Something weird happened the other night, it just kinda got all slow and the graphics were all fucked up, and it wouldn't fix itself when I restarted. It happened all of the sudden, not sure what the deal was. I decided to switch over to the other partition that had Windows Vista on it, and everything was fine over there, so I just assumed that it was something fucked up with my Windows Xp. So glad that I had Vista on here, since if I hadn't, then I wouldn't have known if it was my computer or just windows.
I decided that I would put Ubuntu Linux on here, which has taken some getting used to over the last couple of days. It's a great os, but you really do need a Windows partition somewhere on your computer, if you want to play any video games. I was going to put Xp over my Vista tonight, since I put the Ubuntu over the old Xp (reformatted, blah blah), but I didn't feel like it. I need to do it soon, as I would like to play my games again. I forgot to save my The Movies save game files, so I have to start over on that game. I have all of my Sims files, except for the sims that I had already made, so I can rebuild everything that I had in that game.
I met a nice fella the other day (thought so, anyway), but he hasn't called since I met him. I've left him one voicemail and sent him a Xmas greeting text, but no response. We got along really well, and we knew some of the same people. He better have a damn good excuse for not calling me though, that shit pisses me off. I know that it's the holidays and everything, and that most people have families that they're actually busy with, but he could have taken five fucking minutes out of his day to call me.
We spent some time together, with a mutual friend of ours, the other night. I actually met this guy (Mike) before, I introduced myself to him a little while back, but he was seeing someone back then. I think that the time wasn't right before, but it was right now, so that's why we were able to get to know each other the other night. It was a lot of fun, we talked and talked and talked, we have a lot in common. Not sure what this whole not calling me shit is about, but I'll give him until Wednesday to get back to me, and he's toast after that. I'll probably call him on my next day off (Tuesday), and see what happens from there.
If anyone has any good Linux sites for me, especially ones where I can download some cool shit, send an email to me. I think that I will work with it full time, and just switch over to play my games and stuff. Probably switch over to do my Photoshop stuff as well, basically all of my work and play, the internet stuff can all be done over on this side.
I hope that everyone had a very good Xmas!
